The news: Amazon is the lowest-priced US online retailer for the eighth consecutive year, per Profitero’s annual survey.

  • The company has an average price advantage of 14% over rivals like Target, Best Buy, Chewy, and Nordstrom.
  • Walmart came closest to matching Amazon’s prices with just a 5% price difference on identical items—although that was slightly higher than last year’s 4% gap.
